Overview

The General IT Officer is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the firm's IT infrastructure. The role ensures seamless network operations, technical support for staff, and contributes to digital transformation initiatives in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable connectivity for all departments.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, backups, and security protocols to protect sensitive financial/legal data.
  • Ensure secure and efficient Wi-Fi and LAN operations in all offices.
  • Manage and update IT inventory (hardware and software).
  • Provide technical support to employees (PCs, printers, software, remote access).
  • Coordinate with external IT partners and vendors when necessary.
  • Recommend and implement IT improvements, keeping up with technology trends relevant to security and data privacy, especially for financial service firms.
  • Document IT processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support the setup for virtual meetings, webinars, and in-house training.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms (SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management tools).
  • Can design marketing material by using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT networking, preferably in service-based sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, Microsoft server administration, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Ability to solve technical issues quickly and independently.
  • Good communication skills in English and Khmer.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to data security.
